So far I have made 25 gallons ...
I have at the stuff to make at least 30 gallons, waiting to go.
So I think my initial guesstimate of 60 gallons, was a little on the low side...
I have 8 gallons bubbling away just now, before that i made 3 gallon but thats drunk already as it was my 1st 3 gallon ever, i couldn't help but drink it. I think i'm just going to keep making as much as i can and get a good stock up.
Unlike the rest of you seasoned alcho........connoisseurs I have a lot of catching up to do, but the wife has allowed me the spare room and the shed, will put with the smells, noises and cursing. I'll just aim to make a couple of drinkable batches, first.
Still, received 10x1Gal glass demi-johns over the weekend. Should be able to make a good start. Currently have a No.1 and a No.2 on the go.
On the subject of Chillies, we grow our own (have made exceedingly hot Naga Morich chilli sauce in the past. Not a wise move) and I thought of making a Chilli based wine…………I want to make good wine but also want experiment a bit!

I made a chilli wine the other year, just sliced the chillis into the must at the start. It was quite interesting.. fair bit of a kick on the aftertaste.
I reckon I will make about 60 gallons this year.... but hopefully I will be a bit more organised about it...
The latter part of the year was a bit of a rush for me... so I will try to avoid that this year
Oh... And I am glad that I live in an area where the tap water is "good".
When I lived in London, I always had to buy water to drink, as the tap water, although they said it was drinkable... it tasted nasty.
I think, for the amount that it rains here, I would feel a bit seen off if I had to buy drinkable water

37 gallons for me so far, looks like my initial estimation of 60 gallons will be pretty close. On the other hand, I still have quite a few 1 gallon odds & sods that need to be made and there is Grapefest coming up..............
