  • Righto...
I have checked my rhubarb, picked some more and froze...
    I have 7.8kg

I have checked my notes from the last time I made it....
And this is what I did, per gallon .........
    1.5 litres Rhubarb Juice,
    .75 litres apple juice,
    eighth tsp tannin,
    yeast and nutrient
    RGJ,
    sugar syrup to 1.080 ish....
Unfortunately, my notes do not include my reasoning behind why I used apple juice and red grape juice... I did do one gallon with red grap concentrate too... and couldn't tell the difference between the two.

I reckon if I use my additions, then 7.8kg will be plenty
Insecure people try to make you feel smaller.

Confident people love to see you walk taller

    • Today, i have been mostly doing...................Prep work for tomorrow. Got the GF2011 wines to look at and rack. Plus am hopefully brewing a beer that i tried during my trip to the states in march.............. Diamond Knot IPA - an absolute belter of a beer, and 7% ABV!!! Got to give the new 45L mash tun a go!!! (This beer has nearly 8.5KG of grain in the tun!!!)

Check this out - here's their web site : http://www.diamondknot.com/

Having met Pete, I have to say he is probably the last person I would have thought would turn out to be the resident forum axe murderer.

Today I spent my lunchtime racking a WE Ltd Ed South African Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon. It tasted blooming good for such a young wine.

                      You're too kind

Today, I are be mostly adding elderflower to a stabilised (I hope) rhubarb, and sugar-feeding the Monster Port.

You're welcome. I find it pays to keep on the good side of axe murderers

You say that rob, but think on.....when they interview axe murderers neighbours, they always say the same......ooooh he was so normal, seemed like a nice guy

so i think Pete could be a closet hatchet man, lets face it, anyone who names their yeast starters is obviously a fruit loop

                          • If you do it right, there are no neighbours left to interview
