    Let the birds have a grape, ya tight wad
    Hmmm, in only 20 years? Wow, Bob's own little biotope. Very funny!!!

                The sun shines brightly over Lockwood manor. So much Carbon Dioxide has been produced by Bob’s fully automated winery that West Yorkshire now enjoys its own Mediterranean style micro climate where a steady 28c is the norm.

                Around his garden, the bananas are ripe, a few coco nuts litter the lawns and the rest of the tropical fruits are doing well and the vines are weighed down with masses of fat grapes.

                So what could be so wrong with this idealistic scene? Birds have all but become extinct! The few that escaped Bob’s traps flew south to the barren, arctic like wastelands of Doncaster where food is more plentiful.
                ^^^^^ haha thats so funny Richard

                    Bob;

                    What happened to your quest for grapes, earlier this Fall?

                      We got some Italian grapes

                      Picked up Ciliegiuolo grapes this morning, arrived back from London, Karl came round to help (I had my shirt off because it was hot......Sorry)

                      Started a yeast starter this evening, to pitch into the must tomorrow. 8 tsp sugar 1 tsp Tronozymol energiser/nutrient 1/2 tsp Citric acid (yeasties like acid environments) Pitched 3 pkt Ritchie's connoisseur Valpolicella yeast It took off instantly, and I had to quickly take the photo before it overflowed. (photo is less

                        A little birdy tells me that the avian vermin ousted by Bob have nicked Karl's grape crop.

                            I've also lost some of my crop, i think the resident squirells have removed some of the netting allowing the birds in....

                                Yep, bloody squirrels, I hate the damn things. They have gnawed their way into my very expensive fruit cage and chewed (not eaten, I wouldn't have minded if they'd at least just had enough to satisfy their hunger) right through the strawberry bed, strewn raspberries all over the ground and decimated the blueberries. To add insult to injury they have planted acorns all over the place too. Without constant vigilance I'd have a forest in there.

                                And don't get me started on the damage they've done to the eaves trying to get into the house!

                                Very expensive vermin IMO
