This English-born Canadian finds himself near Seattle Washington USA tonight. Had a beer with dinner (Blue Moon on draft). Might have a glass or two of a California Gewurztraminer later.

Just polished off some homebrew turbo cider and moved onto some "Cains 2008 culture beer" a local brewery in Liverpool.

This evening it will be spaghetti with our Petite Sirah that we bottled about three months ago. We're trying to be good and let it age...but what the heck...it's just one bottle.
We all have to believe in something; I believe I'll have another glass of wine.

I've had not quite half a bottle of WE Barolo, bottled it up today, and this little bit was left over!

                Very nice too!

Well, I opened the first of my cranberry wines.
I still think it needs a bit longer to mature, but not to bad considering.
Thanks to all, for you help, to make it a drinkable wine

                        • Cook's perks - a glass and a half of mead left over from a bottling session. Very more-ish but I was a good girl and left the rest of the bottles alone

                          • Opened the first bottle of '07 orange muscat port tonight. Very nice, but definitely needs more age.

                              • More cook's perks. A tinned pear, made in late 2005 took aeons to clear. Patience paid off and it has at last made it to the bottle.

And very good it is too!

(I've got this quantity thing down to a fine art, there are always a couple of glasses left over from bottling. Clever old me. )
